At EPA, students are trained to cultivate passion and love of music, along with technical skills, to create expressive and meaningful performance.
So, if you’re teaching yourself how to play, that’s the place to start.Familiarize yourself with the piano. Look at and listen to the middle keys, flat keys (left black keys), sharp keys (right black keys), bass and high tones.Learn where middle C is. … Learn the basic keys. … Learn the language of music.
After six months of piano lessons Learning the piano is a challenge, though a rewarding one. For many people, after 6 months of piano lessons, they find that they can read most of the notes on the staff and play several scales pretty well!

“There is no age that is really ‘too old’ to learn to play the piano. However, there are lifestyle factors that typically get in the way of progress once somebody enters the workforce full-time.

10 to 15 years

In that case, you’re looking at a minimum of 10 to 15 years of concentrated study with a master teacher, and hours per day of practice. Most people who want to learn the piano aim for something in between these two extremes.
Playing the piano changes the brain in a positive way! … So while you think you are just working on a particularly tough piano piece, you are also improving your memory, attention, speech, language, spatial and math skills, and even the ability to vocally convey emotions.
It’s not impossible to learn the piano if you have no prior musical experience; just expect it to take you a little longer at the start to master the fundamentals of reading music. After all, everyone needs to start somewhere! Be patient with yourself, stay focused, and remain positive!
