Piano Lessons Melbourne – Fintan Alexander Oag
Fintan Alexander Oag started playing piano while he was at school. As an ambitious student, he put more work into piano than he did all his high school subjects combined. At 18, he started studying Bachelors of Music in piano at JMC Academy specialising in composition and arranging, and graduated with distinction in 2016. Fintan has since won awards for his film composition work, and had his work featured at the Melbourne International Animation Festival. He has been teaching since he was at university since 2015.
Fintan always makes sure to teach according to the student’s interests whether that be exams, creative endeavour or just fun. Lessons are always fun as Fintan is always excited to motivate. Fintan is able to teach students from a very young age due to his enthusiasm and his patience and is attuned to older students as well. As well as piano, Fintan teaches aural skills, music theory, improvisation, composition and how they all fit together.
Fintan has recently completed European Piano Academy’s course on how to use European and Russian teaching methods while teaching students.
