Piano Teacher Sydney Upper North Shore and Hills – Julia Nie – Epping

Julia Nie is a Sydney based piano teacher who offers piano lessons Sydney North West, Hills and North Shore suburbs. She also teaches at her own studio in Epping. She can teach students of all ages who would like to learn just for fun and personal improvement or who are willing to prepare for AMEB and other exams.

Julia began playing the piano at the age of 5. She has completed AMEB grades of up to CMus (with honours) and is continuing her grades up to LMus. Julia completed her HSC with subjects including Music 2 and Music Extension (Band E4) where her selection of pieces included were chosen from the AMEB AMus and LMus syllabi. Along with performance exams, she has also completed her Grade 4 and 5 in music theory (with high distinction and honours respectively). Julia has also attended numerous different piano competitions, achieving high results and was also frequently invited to perform at different local community events and volunteered at aged care centres where her performance skills have been greatly appreciated. She has also been performing for recitals since high school, such as at the Network Awards, and is continuing to do so. 

Recently Julia has completed European Piano Academy’s course for teachers which focuses on using European and Russian piano teaching methodologies.

Julia’s teaching philosophy is encouraging all students to enjoy performing their music and to play a wide variety of musical styles in working towards developing a high musical potential. She believes in creating an environment where her students are able to unleash their musical talent and creativity in all aspects of their musical journey, whilst building a strong foundation in accurate technical skills.
